Day 2 - 1st Relief 2.0 Mission to Ishinomaki

Day 2: The team moved North on our bus towards Ishinomaki on the Highway, and we saw a lot of emergency vehicles and army vehicles.

We stopped on the convenience store on the Highway and saw that it was open and pretty well stocked.

Eventually, we arrived at Ishinomaki.

Ishinomaki Town is pretty ravaged by the Earthquake and Tsunami. By doing a short walk (5 min), we found numerous debris around, and even fishes on the floor.

Eventually, we visited a Survivor's Center and gave out all our supplies of food and medicine.

It was a pretty fruitful day. There was however many people displaced from their homes because there was still no electricity, water and heat in homes. The city has cleared all the main streets and is restoring power and water soon. There is a planned meeting with city hall people and a walk to the disaster area tomorrow. There are incredible photos to be uploaded.
