1000 CPS Radiation Reading in Koriyama, Fukushima

This soil sample was taken by Safecast at Kōriyama, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan on May 17, 2011. That is 60km away from the plants (30km outside the exclusion zone), 2 months after The Big Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami and over 1000 times higher than the normal room reading which were between 0 and 1 at TokyoHackerspace where I did this video.

Life of Purpose

In the middle of nowhere, amidst total destruction devoid of any sense, far from anyone and anything you knew, somehow life has meaning. No bed is softer than the mattress of purpose, no hot meal is warmer than a plate of being useful and no conversation is more interesting than the silent glimpse of hope escaping from the eyes of those you serve.

  2. To identify how to attract an influx of money to be spent on these businesses and ends up in the hands of locals.
